8 days? Could it be true? I am so excited to begin this adventure. There is some nervous, scared, hopeful, and 'I'm ready' mixed in. I haven't started packing, but I have at least started thinking about it!

There is so much truth in God's Word. Take a moment to bask in the beauty of these promises the Lord has for the people of Cambodia, for me, and for you...

"Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (Romans 8:35-37)"

We cannot lose if Chirst is on our side.

"No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39)"

We cannot out run, out smart, hide from or push away the love of our Father.

"Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. (Romas 8:12)"

What a relief...I am free from my sinful, human self.

"In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. (Romans 8:17)"

We are His children. He loves us only a father would. He wants us to have all the benefits of being His.

"For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)"

That's a great promise...life and peace. Much better than death!

"Lead me in the right path, O Lord,

      or my enemies will conquer me.

   Make your way plain for me to follow. (Psalm 5: 8)"

He will always be our guide. If we ask Him for a path to follow it will be there...we just may not be able to see more than 5 feet ahead of us.

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;

      let them sing joyful praises forever.

   Spread your protection over them,

      that all who love your name may be filled with joy.

For you bless the godly, O Lord;

      you surround them with your shield of love. (Psalm 5:11-12)

I can't think of anything better than to be protected and loved.

These are promises to us all from our Father who loves us. Let us embrace them. Claim them. Believe them.
